International Training Programme On Global Strategic Leadership

Leadership is a process whereby an individual influences a group to achieve a common goal. Leader should have clear vision, knowledge, commitment and skills and most importantly, leader should act to achieve that vision. In the globalized knowledge economy, the challenge of translating knowledge into policy and practice is universal.

The Leadership Programme designed by Indian Institute of Public Administration for the foreign Government employees is aimed to enable senior officers from developing countries to appreciate leadership challenges in today’s competitive environment and understand the role of India’s leadership in transforming organizations, policy and programmes with evidences.

Eligibility Criteria: Foreign Government Officials

The objectives of the Programme are to:

  1. Sensitize the participants to formulate a proactive competitive strategy for challenges,
  2. Develop skills to drive innovation and enhance synergies at all levels of the organization,
  3. Provide better understanding of leadership roles for effective managerial functioning,
  4. Sensitize participants to leadership challenges for achieving organizational goals,
  5. Expose them to leadership strategies,
  6. Apply these concepts and theories to strengthen skills of leadership and management, and
  7. Networking and partnership through reflections of their own skills in these areas

The program seeks to introduce the concepts of Leadership, Growth and Sustainable Development. The highlighted aspects of the course are as follows:

  1. Introduction to Leadership, Women’s Leadership, Growth and sustainable development.
  2. Understanding Global Socio-Economic Environment.
  3. Strategic Financial Management for Policy and Development and Forensic Accounting
  4. Country Risk Analysis and Ratings.
  5. Communication: Negotiation Skills and Emotional Intelligence
  6. Management competencies: Lateral Thinking, System and Design Thinking
  7. The issues in Climate Change, Gender Budgeting, Cyber security
