Digital India

With remarkable enhancements in vision and delivery strategies of National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), Government of India announced on August 15, 2014 the initiation of its umbrella program of Digital India, which had been formally launched on July 1, 2015. Digital India (DI) program has core emphasis on ‘Citizens First’ approach whilst leveraging Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) for effective delivery of public services to its citizens and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is the nodal agency for implementation of DI. MeitY has entrusted Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), with the responsibility of developing and conducting capacity-building programs on e- Governance/Digital India for sensitizing district level officials from SC/ST areas. The project is aptly titled as “Awareness and Skill development Program for District Level SC/ST officials through State administrative training institutes-ATIs”.

  1. Impart training in the basic principles of e-Governance with special reference to Digital India, as per the prescribed methodology.
  2. To enhance the awareness of participants about key achievements of Digital India programme and e-Kranti.
  3. To elaborate the nuances of IT Act 2000 (Amendment in 2008), related bills, policies and frameworks along with suitable examples.
  4. To provide in-depth understanding opportunities, challenges and related solutions as well as applicable frameworks related to the emerging landscape of cyber threats
